Principle
X-ray computed tomography consists of using X-rays that are
converted to a digital signal by a detector and computational
algorithms to calculate virtual sections through an object without
the need to physical-ly cut them. With this data it is possible to
generate 3D representations of the sample under investiga-tion.
Both from the external as from the interior of the sample.
